About Company
The elder population of the area is served by Alwyndor's on-site residential care, community, and therapeutic facilities. Work as a Housekeeper at Alwyndor Aged Care AU DEC 2022
Set among lovely grounds in the coastal community of Hove, Alwyndor offers therapy and wellbeing services, on-site residential living, and support at home services that enable the people in our communities to lead healthy, active lives.
A young woman named Dorothy Cheater had a vision for what is now Alwyndor, and she never lost sight of her desire to take care of other people.
Dorothy spent her entire life on the Dunrobin Road, Hove property owned by her parents, where she also grew up.
After caring for her parents until their deaths in 1942 and 1943, Dorothy turned Alwyndor into a retirement community for elderly people and returning World War II troops.
In order to construct a hostel, nursing home, and rehabilitation facility, the then-Brighton Council purchased four acres of the property holding in 1976. Dorothy left the remaining 2.5 acres of gardens next to the assisted living home in her will after she passed away in 1988.
