In 1934, Smithtown-born chemical engineer Thomas Mayne created MILO®, the iconic crispy milk beverage from Australia. Our Smithfield Factory is looking for a Production Planner to join the team and be a part of our amazing history.
At Smithtown, we're looking for a Production Panner. This position's mandate is to constantly develop short-term production plans with finite capacity limitations that are both practical and materials that are realistically arranged according to the workforce and resource available (production lines).
Job Responsibilities
- Create a feasible production plan within the DPS period that takes into consideration available capacity available labour available materials that respects the product family sequencing as determined by the MPS planner and best optimizes the factory’s ability to produce the SKUs within the families
- Identification of practical issues concerning plant shutdowns, timing of promotion activity within the DPS period
- Identification of possible opportunities for the factory within the DPS period
- Identification of possible problems for the factory within the DPS period
- Give advance information on labour requirements within the DPS period
Job Requirements
- Relevant operational experience at market /business level is useful, in at least one of the following areas:
- Manufacturing Function Planning Function:
- MPS (Master Production Scheduling)
- DRP (Distribution Requirement Planning)
- MRP (Material Requirement Planning)
- University Graduates Vocational Education Experience in the following processes would be highly beneficial
- Understand Product lifecycle processes
