While we have a history of distinction in the football industry, we currently collaborate across sectors to generate education and job opportunities for young people throughout Australia. These sectors include the arts & creative industries, education, business, and the larger sports & leisure sector. AFL Sports Ready AUS is hiring an administration officer in February 2023.

We assist hundreds of trainees and apprentices around the nation each year through our Group Training Operations, matching them with host firms so they can obtain on-the-job experience while pursuing a formal certificate. Our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Employment Program (Warumilang) offers direct recruiting, cultural awareness training, and professional development services in addition to vocational traineeships for young Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people.

Together with our well-known ArtsReady curriculum, AFLSR also offers a variety of AFL programmes through its Registered Training Organization, SportsReady Education. Regional offices for our national organisation, which has its headquarters in Melbourne, may be found in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, and Perth.

Job Responsibilities

  • The purpose of the role is to provide high quality & timely administration support primarily focused on administration of Registered Training Operations (RTO) but also supports administration for Group Training Operations (GTO).  This role is also responsible for supporting some general company administration duties.
  • Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • RTO administration & GTO administration support;
  • Data entry, monitoring & reporting;
  • General administration;
  • Stakeholder & customer relationship management; &
  • Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years administration experience;
  • Demonstrated skills in working in a team environment;
  • Demonstrated understanding & practice of respect for people across a range of backgrounds & cultures;
  • Capacity to work independently & accept responsibility for specific tasks;
  • Ability to follow systems & processes to maintain accurate records & budgets;
  • Ability to manage daily priorities to delivery timely & high quality work;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs;
  • Effective written & verbal communication skills;
  • Current & up-to-date Working with Children Clearance; &
  • Current & up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination status, including any relevant booster shots in line with ATAGI recommendations.
