Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a Billing Manager to join the Smokeball Finance team; we are a process and technology focused team with a continuous improvement mindset. This role is responsible for providing financial, clerical and administrative support to ensure the company accurately bills customers and receives payments for services.
- Process all new business contracts and ensure all paperwork is complete.
- Process all renewals ensuring all paperwork is complete.
- Process subscription amendments as required.
- Investigate and resolve customer queries relating to invoicing, working with other departments to resolve.
- Process receipts and ensure they are allocated to the correct debtor accounts in a timely manner.
- Debtors Report and Accounts Receivable Reconciliation.
- Monitor AR and payment arrangements.
- Driving the cash collection process by way of monitoring, developing and managing the collection of debt.
- Process customer refunds.
- Reconcile Salesforce and billing system to ensure accurate number of paying users.
- Manage commission and ensure the accuracy of commission payout
- Assist with new Billing systems implementation project.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years in a billing or accounts receivable role – essential.
- An understanding of subscription billing and revenue recognition.
- An understanding of the software as a service (SaaS) business model.
- Experience working within a SaaS company will be highly regarded.
